How to Boil an Egg ???

Guessing am I out of my mind????? Not at all…!! After years of Destructive Experiments, today, I am able to say that ‘Hey! I know how to boil an egg!!’

Shocked???? Yes, its true though. We all usually claim that at least we know how to boil an egg… Here’s the red signal! Halt!!!! It is not that simple task as we think… Eggs could be sensitive to how they are treated. You don’t want to lose the real flavor and aroma of the soft divine egg, don’t you? So today I will share my experience with you about what it takes to boil an egg.

Why not share a simple incident that happened with me when I boiled some eggs for the first time… Holding a perfect oval shaped, ivory colored egg in my hands, with my eyes on the water, shooting up from the sauce pan with an extreme urge to amalgamate the egg into its waves… With high enthusiasm, I dropped it into the saucepan with a SPLASSHHH!!!! and Wow!! Look at the white spiral clouds coming out of that celestial object… There the trance was broken as that was now more of a “poached egg” rather than a beautiful round boiled egg.

On the other hand, after practising and losing much of the charm of eating a perfect boiled egg, I came up with this classical method to do the egg, headline to what is “Always SIMMER the Eggs”.

  • Boil desired water in a sauce pan. Remember that the saucepan should be large enough to carry the amount of eggs easily.
  • Lower the flame and leave the water to simmer.
  • Gently slip the eggs into the water and let them understand each other for a while.
  • Boil the eggs for NOT MORE THAN 3.5 minutes if you like them half done!!
  • For Hard Boiled, 5 to 6 minutes are enough.
  • After taking them out from the pan, give them a real cool bath under fresh tap water.
  • Peel em and Feel em!!!
  • A slight shake of salt and pepper as we usually do, makes the softness of the white and the mild chocolatey flavor of the yolk worth eating.

Tip:

Try boiled egg with Jam or Honey…. Honey tastes awesome with both the soft as well as hard boiled eggs.

Egg Shells:

  • They kill the odor in the refrigerators so keep them in a corner.
  • Throw some in your Thermos/flasks to keep them shiny and clean.
  • Don’t throw throw the shells as they could be great fertilizers for the plants.

To conclude, eggs are a very delicate and sensitive blessing bestowed upon us, use them well, stay healthy and wealthy :)

Coming up next are some fun-filled entirely differently experimented recipes and some side-splitting experiences of my life :P till then Always Thank Allah for the food we eat.

Thank you all for sparing your time to read this...
